Shelter

We opened the doors to our first Code Blue Shelter, at the Church on the Mall in Plymouth Meeting, on October 1st 2023. We had a successful first season thanks to our generous and dedicated staff of shelter volunteers.
As we begin to prepare for our next season, we are in search of a few more volunteers. You are not required to be an expert to help, only to offer your heart and your hands to helping the homeless population be warm and fed. Orientation and Training are provided to all volunteers. If you think this is something you would be interested in, please go to the bottom of this page to sign up. If you have any further questions or items that you’d like to donate to the Shelter please reach out to us via email: Shelter@TLCforthepeople.org
Outreach

Our Monthly Unhoused Outreach event occurs on the third Saturday of each month from 12pm-2pm in Norristown.
Since 2020, we’ve relied on volunteers to collect donations of clothing and hygiene supplies, make lunches & donate fruit or water for the event, transport items from our storage location to the site and attend the outreach to hand out supplies and engage with this community.
If you are interested in getting involved in this work, please scroll to the bottom of this page to sign up. If you have trouble signing up or any additional questions please contact us at Outreach@TLCforthepeople.org
Advocacy

One of the most powerful tools in ending homelessness is advocacy. By encouraging our elected officials and policymakers to take action on critical issues at the local, county, state, and federals levels, we advocate for change in a variety of areas that directly impact our unhoused communities. Through this work we can advance sensible long-term solutions to the crisis of homelessness.
