At TLC for the People, our mission is to provide services for the community by developing programs, shelters, outreach, and advocacy to enrich the lives of our community to aid in eliminating homelessness and the inequities surrounding housing and other basic human needs.
We are a non-profit organization which relies heavily on donations and volunteers to run. We have a variety of volunteer opportunities: seasonally at our Shelter, monthly at our Outreach events and periodically for advocacy work.
Our History
We have been serving our community through hands-on outreach and compassionate support, since 2020.
- 2020: Launched our Community Outreach Program.
- 2023: Opened our first Code Blue Shelter.
- 2023: Established our Advocacy Program.
- Today: We continue to expand through our various projects.
